procedure BeginEdit;Opens the in-place editor over the active cell, as F2 does. Which editor opens depends on the cell (text box, memo, pick list, lookup list, date picker; see Editing). The dataset is not put in edit state yet: that happens at the first change made in the editor.
Nothing happens when an editor is already open or the cell cannot be
edited: egoEditing not in Options, no
active dataset, a column with no field, a read-only column or dataset, a
picture column, or a check box (which is toggled directly, not edited).
Editing tells
whether an editor opened.
On Android, with EditRowToTop,
the row is first scrolled to the top of the grid.
