The grid never sorts the data itself. A click on a title changes that
column’s SortDirection
(clearing the other columns’, so at most one column is sorted) and fires
OnSortChange,
whose handler applies the order to the dataset. SortColumn
and SortDirection
tell the current state, for example to save it and restore it later.
