Class: TEgFireGrid
property DetectBlobImages: Boolean default False;
Whether a plain BLOB field is also shown as a picture when its bytes are one.
A graphic field (ftGraphic) is always shown as a
picture, whatever this property says. A plain BLOB field
(ftBlob) holds any kind of bytes, so by default its cells
stay empty; with DetectBlobImages set to True
each cell tries its bytes as a picture, and shows the field’s text (for
example (BLOB)) when they are not one. The format (JPEG,
PNG, BMP, GIF, and the others the platform decodes) is detected from the
bytes, row by row, so one column can mix formats and, with a plain BLOB,
pictures and other data.
A picture is shrunk to fit its cell, keeping its proportions, and
centred; it is never enlarged. A null field shows an empty cell. OnGraphicError
reports a graphic field whose bytes are not a picture.
It applies to every column with no DetectBlobImages
of its own.
