Class: TEgFireGrid

property Options: TEgFireGridOptions default EgFireGridDefaultOptions;

Switches for the look and the behaviour of the grid. The options on by default are marked; the set of them is the constant EgFireGridDefaultOptions.

Option Default When included
egoColumnResize on The user can resize a column by dragging the right edge of its title. OnColumnResize follows.
egoColumnMove on The user can move a column by dragging its title (mouse). On a touch screen a long press on a title shows arrows to move it left or right. OnColumnMoved follows.
egoEditing on The cells can be edited in place, and check boxes toggled. See Editing.
egoRowLines on A line is drawn between the rows.
egoColLines on A line is drawn between the columns.
egoAlternatingRows off Every other row gets the style’s alternating background (not in cells with a colour of their own, see Color).
egoRowSelect off The whole active row is highlighted instead of the active cell. The active column still exists (for the keyboard and the editor).
egoAlwaysShowEditor off The edit box of the active cell shows by itself while the grid has the focus, so typing needs no F2 or Enter (the VCL dgAlwaysShowEditor). Only for text, number and pick list cells (not PickListOnly); a memo cell’s editor shows by itself only after a Tab move (Tab, Shift+Tab, or Enter with TabOnEnter).
egoCancelOnExit off When the focus leaves the grid, a new row that was not changed is cancelled (the VCL dgCancelOnExit).
egoIndicator on The indicator gutter is shown at the left (see IndicatorWidth).
egoTitles on The title row is shown.
egoTitleWordWrap off Titles too long for their column wrap onto more lines (give them room with HeaderHeight).
egoWordWrap off Cell texts too long for their column wrap onto more lines, within the row height.
egoShrinkToFit off A cell text that still does not fit is drawn with a smaller font, down to MinFontSize.
egoTitleShrinkToFit off The same for the titles.
egoMultiSelect off Several rows can be selected (see Selection, keyboard and touch and SelectedRowIds). Turning it off clears the selection.
egoTabs on Tab and Shift+Tab move between the cells, instead of to the next control of the form.
egoAlwaysShowSelection off The active cell or row keeps its highlight while the focus is outside the grid (the VCL dgAlwaysShowSelection). The multi-selection and the indicator’s arrow show either way.

The word wrap and shrink-to-fit options are defaults for the columns: a column’s WordWrap, ShrinkToFit, TitleWordWrap and TitleShrinkToFit replace them once assigned. With both on, a text is wrapped first at its normal size and shrunk only if it still does not fit.
