It applies to every column with no DateEditor
of its own. Only fields the dataset reports as a date or a date-time are
concerned: a time field, or a SQL time stamp, is always edited as text.
On a phone the picker is usually the better choice, since typing a date
on a virtual keyboard is slow.
With the picker, Del or Backspace makes the value null (unless the
column is Required).
