Demonstration Edition

This is a demonstration version of EDB2MySQL, functionally equivalent to the full licensed version, with the following restrictions:

Converter (Windows Application)

  • Schema conversion includes only 1/4 of the tables (minimum 3)
  • Foreign keys are excluded
  • Data migration is limited to the same table cap and to 50 rows per table
  • SQL Console results are capped at 50 rows

DEveloper library (edbapiclient)

  • Execution requires the Delphi IDE to be running
  • TMMUpdater refuses source tables with more than 50 rows
  • TMMScript result sets are trimmed to 50 rows

 

Requirements

Converter (Windows Application)

Workstation

  • Windows 8 or later (32 or 64-bit).
  • No Delphi or ElevateDB installation required - the EDB runtime is built in.
  • HTTP/HTTPS access to the target web server.

Server backend (edbapi.php)

  • PHP 8.1 or later (tested through PHP 8.5), with the pdo, pdo_mysql and zlib extensions.
  • Any PHP-capable web server: Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, IIS, including low-end shared hosting.
  • MySQL 8.0.13+ (8.4 LTS recommended) or MariaDB 10.2+ (10.6 LTS recommended).

Developer Library (EDBApiClient)

  • Delphi 12 or 13 (DCUs distributed for these versions, Win32 and Win64).
  • ElevateDB 2 components (edbcomps) installed in the Delphi IDE.
  • An open EDB session and database at runtime.
  • Uses the same edbapi.php backend as the Converter - no additional server component needed.

  • Complete data transfer with BLOB/CLOB handling and pre-migration analysis.
  • Built-in SQL Console with result export and a BLOB/CLOB viewer.

THE Developer Library (EDBApiClient)

  • Standalone Delphi library (12/13) that lets your Delphi/EDB applications read and write MySQL/MariaDB directly - the bridge that allows you to keep both databases in step.
  • Connection testing, schema queries, SQL script execution including data retrieval from MySQL/MariaDB into EDB and batch INSERT / UPDATE / UPSERT.
  • Lightweight PHP REST backend (PHP 8.1+, PDO/MySQL, API-key auth).
